BookingSync (hereinafter also « We », “our” or “us”) is committed to safeguarding your, dear readers, privacy and ensuring your continued trust. This Privacy Policy (hereinafter « Policy ») explains how we use and protect your personal data (hereinafter “Data”). It applies to www.bookingsync.com. The site is owned and operated by SAS BookingSync, Les Chazals, 05100 Névache, France. We collect email addresses of people who send us emails. We send newsletters to those who have signed up for it. We are also able to see what pages users access and collect information provided to us when you answer our surveys or register with us. Such information may contain Data about you, such as your address, phone numbers or credit card numbers. Data such as credit card numbers are “tokenized” (meaning securely encrypted and anonymized) in such a way that they are not even visible to our employees. We are PCI-DSS certified and as such we share credit card numbers only with the service providers that help us to process your contractual relationship with us and that we do all reasonable efforts and check that their data standards are as strong as required. Please note that we always do our best to ask for your consent to what Data we are allowed to keep, and your consent can always be withdrawn, anytime, unless we have an ongoing business relationship, in which case we store the necessary Data as safe as possible in accordance with technical standards and as long as required by applicable laws. Of course, we don’t disclose your Data without your permission. The information we collect is not shared with other entities except under certain circumstances, especially in order to investigate, prevent, or take action regarding illegal activities, suspected fraud, situations involving potential threats to the physical safety of any person, violations of our terms of use, or as otherwise required by law. In case we are acquired by or merged with another company we will do all reasonable efforts to notify you by email and/or by putting a prominent notice on our website before information about you is transferred to a different legal entity and if other confidentiality requirements are not breached. It is our and your goal that you remain always in control of your Data. And, of course, BookingSync does not rent or sell Data about you.

Who are the people we collect Data from?

The BookingSync account owner or the BookingSync member is the organization that uses our services in order to facilitate the rentals of her/his apartments. Such people are either travel agencies, private vacation rental owners or property managers or service providers linked to the rental. In order to deliver our services we also do collect data from the travelers and payers who book via the systems, we have put into place. We lastly also collect data from those who provide applications we offer on our website.

What we do with your Information

When you register as a vacation rental owner, property manager or travel agency, we ask you for your name, company name, phone number, credit card number, physical address, VAT number and email address. We typically also receive your IP address as well as your GPS location for security reasons. We can also get information about you that is supplied to us via cookies, web beacons or other similar technologies. We do that in order to provide best services to you. Please note that we always provide our most reasonable technical efforts that you can opt out from providing us any personal information unless the law or higher security reasons require us to not follow your request. However, please keep in mind that the utmost security of your personal data and both of our, dear customer businesses is our natural goal.

BookingSync uses the above information for the following general purposes: Providing our services, whereby it is important for you to keep in mind that BookingSync and you always do our common best to deliver our best services as a team in full transparency and in compliance with all applicable laws.
As part of the booking and synchronization process on BookingSync, you, as an owner, travel agent or property manager will obtain the Data, such as names, phone numbers, email and/or postal address of travelers, which you must keep under all applicable EU data protection laws confidential. As a services provider to mainly vacation rental marketplaces we are put under certain contractual conditions that we must ask you to abide by, too. Security

The security of your personal information is important to us. When you enter sensitive information, such as a credit card number on our payment form, we encrypt that information using secure socket layer technology (SSL). We follow generally accepted industry standards to protect the personal information submitted to us, both during transmission and once we receive it. However, please note that no method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage, is 100% secure. Therefore, whilst we strive to use all commercially reasonable means to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security. Disclosure

In compliance with the law, BookingSync may disclose personally identifiable information under special circumstances, such as to comply with court orders requiring us to do so or when your actions violate the Terms of Service.

Client Data Storage

BookingSync owns the data storage, databases and all rights to the BookingSync application, however, your data remains yours, of course. Also, please note that we will make all reasonable efforts to never contact your clients directly, or use your data to our own business advantage or market to your clients.

Cookies

  1. A cookie is a small amount of data, which may include an anonymous unique identifier. Cookies are sent to your browser from a website’s computers and stored on your computer’s hard drive.
  2. BookingSync uses cookies to record current session information, our cookies generally last two weeks. You are required to log-in to your BookingSync site after a certain period of time has elapsed to protect you against others accidentally accessing the content of your account.

If we make material changes to this policy, we will notify you here or by means of a notice on our homepage so that you are aware of what information we collect, how we use it, and under what circumstances, if any, we disclose it.
