About Us

BookingSync is a French startup and cloud-based vacation rental management platform. Our goal is to make the lives of vacation rental owners, managers and agencies easier. Whether it’s managing your booking, generating an invoice, accepting a payment, or issuing a contract, BookingSync can handle it. Centered around simplicity and ease of use, we’ve developed an intuitive software that is a friend to owners and managers during each step of the vacation rental management process.

BookingSync was started in the VillasThalassa, in Sivota - Lefkada in Greece.

BookingSync disrupted the space with portal synchronization functionality which allows users to maintain a centralized calendar that automatically updates websites and supported portals like Airbnb, FlipKey, HomeAway, VRBO, among others. We’ve also built a developer API, and with it, a flexible and versatile product. Developers can easily add extra services on top of the software so that BookingSync works best for you. At heart, we provide a product that is simple, reliable, fast, and fun.

25 years in vacation rental industry
15 years in software development

BookingSync was born out of a personal vacation rental problem, one familiar to many owners: how to save time managing your property and book more? Our Founder and CEO Sébastien Grosjean was (and still is) a vacation rental owner managing properties in Lefkada, Greece. He was also (and still is) a software developer. Juggling multiple listings and competing inquiries, Séb was looking to make his booking process more efficient. He decided to sit down and code. With over 25 years of experience in the vacation rental industry and over 15 years in software development, Séb started building what would become BookingSync.

2010 Open to public

BookingSync officially launched as a product and opened to the public in January, 2010. The early features included availability management and portal synchronization, with the latter disrupting the vacation rental space.

2014 160 Investors

BookingSync grew out of one line of code in Greece into a company of four co-founders from France, Macedonia, and the U.S., and then into a community of 160 investors from five countries. In early 2014, we raised our first round of investment, more than $1M USD in a fundraising blitz of only 15 days.

Today BookingSync is more motivated than ever to make the best vacation rental software for you. The day you join us is the day you save time and book more.

Our commitment to charity

Woven into the fabric of BookingSync is a strong commitment to charity. A share of our profits (from 10% to 50%) will go to funding charitable works, a mix of humanitarian, social and environmental projects.

We're a diverse and cultural bunch here at BookingSync. From the days of yore programming on a laptop in Lefkada, we have grown to a 10+ person team. BookingSync can be used in 2 languages (English and French), and combined across our team, we speak 5 languages (English, French, Greek, Spanish and Polish). We have vacation rental owners, managers and agencies using BookingSync in over 110 countries. And 160 shareholders hailing from 5 countries, ranging in age from 18 to 90 years old. Together, we share the same goal: to make the lives of vacation rental owners, managers and agencies easier.
